OTC DAIHEN trainingRobot Maintenance Training Course

The Robot Maintenance Training course will provide students with the knowledge necessary to perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting procedures. Familiarization with robot manipulation and programming using the teach pendant is reviewed during this course; however, students should have a working knowledge of programming prior to attending.

There is no prerequisite for the Robot Maintenance Training Course, DAIHEN, Inc. recommends that all persons attend the Basic Robot Programming Training Course prior to the attending this course.

NOTE: This course is a NON-WELDING Course.

Class Contents

  • Initial installation/power up of new controller.
  • Proper ABSO Offset procedure.
  • Proper Torch Alignment procedure.
  • Writing a basic point check program (P998).
  • Controller component identification.
  • Location / function of test points.
  • Power Source major component identification.
  • Troubleshooting of robot controller.
  • Position recovery after crash/maintenance.
  • Proper procedure/cautions for changing a motor.
  • Proper procedure/cautions changing a speed reducer.
  • Proper preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Auto TCP function and proper usage.
  • Function of Tool Parameters and Offset Values.
  • Back-up system and program data.

Who is this class for?

This course is designed for those personnel responsible the daily up-keep of the robots as well as those tasked with performing preventive and corrective maintenance procedures.

Class Format

In addition to classroom lectures and discussions, there will be “hands-on” time for students to perform assembly/disassembly procedures as well as exercises in troubleshooting and repair.

A “Certificate of Achievement” is awarded to those students who successfully complete this 4 day course.

How to Register

To register, please fill out and submit a Training Registration Form at least two (2) weeks prior to start date of the class that you would like to attend. A separate registration form is required for each student attending the classes. OTC DAIHEN will send an acknowledgement for each registration form received, indicating the selected class dates and PO number confirmation.
