OTC DAIHEN trainingBasic Robotic Programming Course

The Basic Robotic Programming Course is a basic programming course that teaches students how to safely manipulate the robot through proper use of the robot controller and teach pendant. This course is designed for personnel who are responsible for set-up, programming, editing, and daily operation of DAIHEN robots.

NOTE: This course is a NON-WELDING Course.

Class Contents

  • Safely power up the robot and controller from a fully shutdown position.
  • General Robotic safety within working envelopes.
  • Know the purpose and operation of the Robot Controller.
  • Know the purpose and operation of the Teach Pendant.
  • Know the purpose and operation of the Start Box.
  • Jogging of the manipulator using different coordinate systems.
  • Create a weld program and test.
  • Program management (copy, delete, rename).
  • Modify, add, and delete program steps.
  • Program I/O instructions and commands.
  • Create and use Arc Command.
  • Create and use Weave Command.
  • Perform Torch Alignment procedure.
  • Perform Origin Check Point procedure.
  • Perform Absolute Offset procedure.
  • Back-up system and program data.
  • Alarm and error recovery procedures.

Who is this class for?

This course is designed for those personnel responsible for programming teach programs for the robot, as well as those in charge of the daily up-keep of the robots.

Class Format

In addition to classroom lectures and discussions, there will be plenty of “hands-on” time for students to comfortably familiarize with programming the robot.

A “Certificate of Achievement” is awarded to those students who successfully complete this 4 day course.

How to Register

To register, please fill out and submit a Training Registration Form at least two (2) weeks prior to start date of the class that you would like to attend. A separate registration form is required for each student attending the classes. OTC DAIHEN will send an acknowledgement for each registration form received, indicating the selected class dates and PO number confirmation.
