AX Weld Basics Training Course
The AX Weld Basics Course picks up where the Basic Robot Programming Course leaves off, and goes into full detail about robotic arc welding fundamentals, setting up welding systems, setting arc characteristics, application troubleshooting, and more.
NOTE: This course is a NON-WELDING Course.

Class Contents
- Basic programming overview.
- Initial set-up of welding system (robot side installation).
- Arc Characteristic design and assignment.
- Basic robotic arc welding fundamentals.
- Pulse vs. Short arc welding (definitions & applications).
- Multi-type weld system set-up (aluminum, steel and, etc.).
- Overview of Touch Sense and Seam Tracking application.
- Advanced weld program creation and design.
- Robotic arc application troubleshooting (cycle time, arc generation faults, trouble shooting of consumable equipment, and common weld system problems.
Who is this class for?
The AX Weld Basics Course is designed for DAIHEN customers who have completed the AX Basic Programming class and wish to develop a deeper understanding of robotic arc welding application.
Class Format
In addition to classroom lectures and discussions, there will be plenty of “hands-on” time for students to become comfortable welding with an arc welding robot..
A “Certificate of Achievement” is awarded to those students who successfully complete this 3 day course.
How to Register
To register, please fill out and submit a Training Registration Form at least two (2) weeks prior to start date of the class that you would like to attend. A separate registration form is required for each student attending the classes. OTC DAIHEN will send an acknowledgement for each registration form received, indicating the selected class dates and PO number confirmation.
